A proper rope-cutting shear. The folding blade is thick stainless steel, cut rope after rope and it stays sharp where an EMT goes blunt fast. Built for emergency response work, which means it shrugs off the kind of repeat use a busy rope practice puts it through.
Folds down to pocket size. The pocket clip on the handle keeps them on you while you tie; the included belt sheath holds them at your hip during a scene so they’re never more than a hand’s reach away. The glow-in-the-dark version ships with a matching glow sheath, useful when the lights go down.
One pair, kept on your person, is the right answer for suspension. Buy once.
